Tasting Notes
Appearance
Golden, brilliantly clear with a bright white head. Classic West Coast IPA clarity — no haze, no ambiguity. Looks alpine and clean before the first sip.
Aroma
Krush and Idaho 7 lead with passionfruit, stone fruit, and tropical punch. Citra adds orange and tangerine brightness on top, Mosaic layers berry and mango underneath, Chinook provides a grounding piney backbone. Bright, fresh, and expressive — five hops all pulling in the same direction.
Palate
Crisp and light — bordering on West Coast pilsner territory as early drinkers note. The tropical fruit from Krush, Idaho 7, and Citra carries through the middle, Mosaic’s berry complexity alongside it, Chinook bitterness arriving clean on the back half. Nothing heavy, nothing harsh.
Finish
Clean, refreshing bitterness — crisp and dry, medium-short, made for the mountain and the taproom patio equally. The kind of finish that makes the next pour automatic.
The Verdict
Icicle Brewing’s newest release is the alpine counterpart to their celebrated Dark Persuasion — lighter, brighter, and built for Cascade summer. Five hops, 6% ABV, clean West Coast bitterness, and a name that blooms right after the snowmelt.
