3 / 4 I'd recommend trying it
Appearance Deep golden to light amber, clear and brilliantly bright with a persistent off-white head. A warm toasty glow in the glass that hints at what’s coming.
Aroma Toasted bread and light caramel malt lead — Vienna malt doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. Cascade brings a clean grapefruit and floral note behind the malt, and Chinook adds a subtle pine and earthy quality that keeps the aroma grounded. Old World malt structure, New World hop accent.
Palate Medium-light body, smooth and clean. Toasty, bready Vienna malt through the middle with a light caramel edge — not sweet, but deeply satisfying. Chinook and Cascade add just enough citrus and pine brightness at 16 IBU to lift the malt and keep the palate from going flat.
Finish Clean and dry with a lingering toasty malt note and gentle Chinook bitterness. Medium length, balanced, and remarkably refreshing for a malt-forward beer.

A beautifully balanced Vienna Lager with a smart American hop addition. Chinook and Cascade complement the toasty malt character without fighting it — this is a beer that respects the style while adding a Cal Coast identity. If you think you don't like lagers, this is the one that might change your mind. Old World style, New World hops.
