2 / 4 A solid effort
Appearance Pale straw, brilliantly clear, light and effervescent with a thin white head. Looks exactly like a light beer should — clean, bright, inviting.
Aroma Subtle by design. A light floral note from the Luna, a faint tropical whisper from the Mosaic — nothing aggressive, nothing demanding. Clean grain in the background. This is a beer that doesn't shout; it just quietly invites you to keep drinking.
Palate Light-bodied, crisp, and highly carbonated. The malt is neutral and clean — this isn't trying to be a malt showcase. The Mosaic character comes through as a very gentle tropical fruit note mid-palate, enough to distinguish it from a macro light lager without overwhelming the session-friendly character. At 15 IBU the bitterness is barely there — just enough to dry the finish.
Finish Short, clean, and refreshing. The Luna's floral softness lingers briefly before disappearing cleanly. No sweetness, no harshness — just a clean slate that makes the next sip inevitable.

The name says everything you need to know about when and where to drink this beer. Lake Life Lite is Cal Coast's answer to the question every craft brewery eventually has to answer — what do you put in the hand of someone who wants something cold, light, and refreshing without sacrificing all flavor? Perfect for Nacimiento, Santa Margarita Lake, or anywhere the Paso Robles sun is doing its worst.
