4 / 4 I'd order another
Appearance Pours a hazy, golden-straw with a soft orange hue typical of the style. The haze is moderate — not as opaque as a full NEIPA but enough to signal the juicy, unfiltered character. A thin white head forms quickly and settles to a light ring. Low carbonation visible
Aroma The nose is immediately tropical and inviting. Citra leads with bright citrus — think fresh-squeezed tangerine and lemon zest. El Dorado pushes the tropical notes deeper with ripe pineapple and mango. Bru-1 adds a softer, rounder quality — stone fruit and white grape. Very little hop resin or dank quality, which is intentional. Clean, fruit-forward, and approachable.
Palate Soft and medium-bodied on the palate with a smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. The fruit character from the aroma follows through — pineapple upfront, honeydew melon in the middle, with a subtle pear sweetness rounding it out. At just 10 IBU the bitterness is virtually absent, making this drink closer to a fruit-forward pale ale than a traditional IPA. The 7.1% ABV is well-hidden, adding warmth without weight.
Finish Clean and relatively short. The tropical fruit fades quickly leaving a light sweetness and just a whisper of citrus peel on the back of the palate. No lingering bitterness, no resin — the finish is as soft as the rest of the beer. Refreshing enough to invite another sip immediately.

Juicy IPA is exactly what it promises — a soft, fruit-forward beer built for drinkability over complexity. The Citra, El Dorado, and Bru-1 hop combination delivers a tropical fruit basket in every sip, and at just 10 IBU there's nothing here to challenge even the most hop-averse drinker. The 7.1% ABV is the one surprise — it's well-hidden behind all that honeydew and pineapple sweetness, so pace yourself. It won't win awards for depth, but that's not the point. On a warm Paso Robles afternoon with the sun out and good company around, this beer is exactly where it needs to be.
